Cookley

Descriptive Notes

The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal passes through the centre of the village. The Cookley Tunnel, built by James Brindley (c.1770) for the canal traffic, is 65 yards long and is the oldest in Worcestershire. It passes under Bridge Road in Cookley Village
