Created in 1849 from Yardley Ancient Parish & Kings Norton Ecclesiastical Parish
Some ecclesiastical boundary alterations have occurred to create or help create a number of daughter parishes. In :-
1914 - to help, together with Moseley St Mary Ecclesiastical Parish, create Moseley St Agnes Ecclesiastical Parish
1937 - to help, together with Moseley St Agnes Ecclesiastical Parish & Kings Heath Ecclesiastical Parish, create Billesley Common Ecclesiastical Parish
1938 - to create Highters Heath Ecclesiastical Parish
1962 - it gained part of Shirley Ecclesiastical Parish (Warwickshire)
1962 - to create Hall Green St Peter Ecclesiastical Parish. In 1966 Hall Green St Peter Ecclesiastical Parish boundary was altered to help, together with Olton Ecclesiastical Parish & Shirley Ecclesiastical Parish (both Warwickshire), create Gospel Lane Ecclesiastical Parish
