Directories:
The living of St. Nicholas' is a discharged rectory, rated in the king's books at £16. 10. 7½, and in the patronage of the Bishop: the church is a uniform modern structure, with a handsome steeple, and, from its situation in the more open part of the town, forms a conspicuous and interesting object in the perspective of the Foregate and Broad-street.
