WESTWOOD, an extra-parochial liberty, in the upper division of the hundred of HALFSHIRE, county of WORCESTER, 2¼ miles (W. N. W.) from Droitwich. A priory, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, for six nuns of the order of Fontevrault, was founded here in the reign of Henry II, and at the dissolution had a revenue of £75. 18. 11.
