Descriptive Notes:

Status:
A township in Shropshire (Brimstree Hundred) in Halesowen Ancient Parish, which was in Worcestershire and Shropshire until 1844 but entirely Worcestershire thereafter. Transferred to Worcestershire in 1832 for civil purposes (Halfshire Hundred). It was a separate Civil Parish in 1866 in Worcestershire. 'Romsley' became a separate Ecclesiastical Parish in 1841 [25]
