RIDGACRE
Status:A township in Shropshire (Brimstree Hundred) and in Halesowen Ancient Parish, which was Worcestershire and Shropshire until 1844 but entirely Worcestershire thereafter. Transferred to Worcestershire in 1844 for civil purposes (Halfshire Hundred). It was a separate Civil Parish in 1866 in Worcestershire. It was renamed between 1891 & 1901 as Quinton Civil Parish. Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction: Quinton was transferred from the Diocese of Worcester to the Diocese of Birmingham in 1905.[5]
