Resources

Lending Library

At the Worcester Branch we provide a free loan service for a selection of books and microfiche. A microfiche reader is also available for loan. This service is only open to those society members who attend our branch meetings.

Requests for loans must be made in person to our librarian, Peter Taylor.

The books and microfiche may normally be borrowed for one month only. The librarian may however extend the loan if the publication has not been reserved by another member. This extension is entirely at the librarian's discretion.

Borrowers will be solely responsible for the publications while in their possession and will reimburse the branch the full cost of replacing any lost or damaged items.

A month's notice will normally be required to borrow the fiche and reader.

Books, CDs, Maps

Our librarian, Peter Taylor, can obtain for you any of the publications issued by the Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry. Whatever their level of expertise, all family researchers will find some of these books of interest to them.

He can also supply any publications in print issued by the Federation of Family History Societies, the Society of Genealogists, Phillimore, Berwin Books and Chapman.

See http://www.bmsgh-shop.org.uk/ for a catalogue of publications available.
