Unless otherwise stated, in the Events section below, we hold our meetings on the second Friday of each month at 7.30pm, at the Baptist Church Hall, Sansome Walk, Worcester, WR1 1LN.

There is some limited parking at the Church. The nearest public car park is at Queen Street at the northern end of the City Walls Road about 5 minutes walking distance.

Where We Meet

The Baptist Church is in Sansome Walk on the North side of the City Centre. Sansome Walk is part of a one way system and can only be driven in the direction shown on the map. Note: When approached from Castle Street there is no entry into St. Mary's Street.

Next Meeting

July Meeting
On  Friday, 11 July 2008  we will be meeting at the church of St James the Great, Norton-juxta-Kempsey. As part of a branch project we will be continuing our work on the transcription of memorial inscriptions in the church and churchyard.

Will members who wish to take part please meet at the church at 7 pm. If weather conditions are so unfavourable as to make you wonder whether we intend to continue with the project that evening , please give Christine Grant a call on 01905 820187.

August
We do not meet in August.

September Meeting
Before the introduction of civil registration in 1837, researching non-conformist ancestors can be difficult.

Members will therefore welcome a talk, entitled “Non-conformist Records”, to be given by Dr. Peter Bloore at our meeting on Friday, 12 September 2008.

As usual tea and biscuits will be available. The reasonable charge of 50p also buys you a ticket in our small raffle and helps to cover some of our expenses.

Visitors are welcome to attend the meeting which will be at The Baptist Church Hall, Sansome Walk, Worcester, starting at 7.30 pm.
