Ancient Parish [25]
Mostly Warwickshire (Barlinchway Hundred), partly Worcestershire (part of the hamlet at Crabbs Cross and the hamlet at Headless Cross. The two areas were ecclesiastically severed 1850 to help create Headless Cross Ecclesiastical Parish [Worcestershire, Warwickshire], the area civilly in Redditch Urban District, (otherwise entirely Worcestershire). That area created in1894 Upper Redditch Urban District to be in the Urban District in Worcestershire, so that 'Ipsley' was entirely in Warwickshire 1894-1931.)
The parish transferred in 1931 to Worcestershire. Abolished ecclesiastically in 1933, part to Redditch St. George Ecclesiastical Parish and part to Redditch Ecclesiastical Parish [25]

IPSLEY, a parish in the Alcester division of the hundred of BARLICHWAY, county of WARWICK, 6¼ miles (N. by W.) from Alcester, containing 745 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Worcester, rated in the king's books at £ 11.10.7½ , and in the patronage of the Rev. T. Dolben Dolben.
