CHURCHILL NR WORCESTER

Descriptive Notes:
St Michael Churchill Nr. Worcester Also known as Churchill in Oswaldslow [25]

St Michael’s at Churchill is a small church in a tiny village. It is mainly of the 14th century, although fragments from an earlier building are built into its walls. The font is 15th century and there is good woodwork of the 17th century. Two stone carvings built into the sill of the north window appear to be parts of a lion. The low chancel screen and the lectern came from Great Malvern Priory in 1910, the year when a major restoration of St Michael’s was carried out. The small bell-cote contains two bells, one dating from the 15th century.[40]
