St Peter, a small red brick church, was built in 1780, restored and enlarged in 1861.

living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and. diocese of Worcester,

the king's books at £5. 3. 4 and in the patronage of the Earl
of Dudley. The

Ancient Parish [25]
Clent manor which included Broome, was originally in Worcestershire but was seized by the Sheriff of Staffordshire around 1016 and became administratively a detached part of Staffordshire surrounded by Worcestershire. For civil purposes, it was transferred back to Worcestershire in 1844. It has always been in the Diocese of Worcester. It was reconstituted in 1953 as 'Broome' civil parish.
