WELFORD which is in the Stratford division of the hundred of
BARLICHWAY, county
of WARWICK, 5¾ miles
(S. by E.) from Alcester, containing, with Little Dorsington, 61

Civil Parish [25]
Created in 1894 from that part of Welford Ancient Parish in Warwickshire. Welford was previously in Gloucestershire and Warwickshire, but was thereafter entirely Gloucestershire. Part of Bickmarsh transferred in 1931 to Dorsington Ancient Parish, as that Gloucestershire parish was transferred to be in Warwickshire. The remainder was transferred to be "Bickmarsh" parish in Worcestershire.[25]
