ALSTONE, a chapelry in the parish of OVERBURY, middle division of the hundred of OSWALDSLOW, county of WORCESTER, 6½ miles (E. by S.) from Tewkesbury, containing 79 inhabitants. The chapel is dedicated to St. Margaret. [Typographical Dictionary of England 1831 by Samuel Lewis]

Status:
Hamlet in Overbury Ancient Parish (Worcestershire), transferred to Gloucestershire in 1844 for civil purposes. A separate Civil Parish in 1866. Abolished entirely to Teddington Ancient Parish in 1935 [79]
